Xiaomi is yet again surprised us hinting to rollout Android Lollipop Update for Xiaomi Phones. On the official MIUI forum, the beta version of Android lollipop MIUI is being tested on Xiaomi MI 2 and MI 2S. The forum reveals some minor bugs in this ROM which can be fixed in official release. So we can expect Android L update for all xiaomi Phones till year. However Xiaomi havn’t released Kitkat update for Redmi 1S and Redmi Note, therefore we are not quite sure whether these 2 devices will recieve Lollipop update or not. By the way Redmi 1S and Redmi Note are yet to recieve MIUI 6 update which creates more doubts on the update.
According to MIUI forum, the beta version has bugs like Making calls using Bluetooth headsets might cause system FC, dual boot not recommended and CDMA is not supported perfectly. These bugs will be rectified after testing the ROM and hopefully the will release Android L update as soon as possible. Earlier Redmi Note 2 was spotted with improved features which might come with Android Lollipop 5.0.Redmi Note release in india is delayed to end of the december or early january. As far as MI 4 is concerned, the phone might enter in India around Jan 2015. Coming to the Android L update, most of the top brands announced Lollipop update for thier flagship devices

We are not quite sure when Xiaomi would release lollipop update for MI phones . The company is upto date when it comes MIUI updates which is the most popular ROM. Recently Redmi 1s users in India have faced a severe heating issue and xiaomi released V45 update which considerably solved heating issue. The Redmi 1s users are still waiting for Kitkat update with MIUI 6 which might be release around Jan or Feb 2015.I guess Xiaomi might skip Kitkat and directly jump into Lollipop on seeing current scenario.So for all Xiaomi users, just hope for the best because Xiaomi has a habit to surprise everyone. Hopefully Android Lollipop update for xioami Redmi 1S, Redmi Note, MI 3 and MI 4 would be release soon.

I have Redmi 1s running on MIUI-JHCMIBL50.0 (Android 4.3). This phone is good and I love the interface which is better than Moto E or Samsung Grand. But the problem with this phone is battery. My full charge does not last for more than 3 hours with 3G/Wifi turned on and gets frustrating when I see the battery melting down like a ice cream under the sun.
I would like to know if I flash this to 4.4, would that better the battery performance. I would also like you to suggest which would be reliable source to download 4.4 which is stable.

No one is completely sure when it will be available. You can expect it by late2015. If you wish, you may also search for custom ROMs for Lollipop for your phone.

I have a problem with my MI 3. The phone have a battery problem. As per spec given by company is battery should be 3000 MA. But when I check with some battery testing app (cpu-z and autunu) it is showing only 1380 MA. When I called the customer care they told they won’t believe in 3rd party app, that is true in their terms… But they are not accepting that battery has some problems.
What’s the exact problem ? Can you elaborate ?

No unofficial stable ROM released yet. You can flash your current ROM with CM11 or Mokkee ROM based on KITKAT 4.4.4 available in MI forum. Check the link below will help you.
