Xiaomi is quite silent from the last few months as we haven’t seen any new smartphones in India. Amazon India has released a teaser pointing out the new Xiaomi device release. It says “Prime Is Coming”, so the new phone could be the premium version of Redmi Note 2. Interestingly the company is yet to launch Redmi Note 2 in India. It seems they are planning to release Redmi Note 2 prime instead of its predecessor.
Last month, the Xiaomi has already released the 3rd generation of Redmi Note in China. 8 lakh Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 units were sold in just 12 hours in China. The Redmi 2 Prime sports 5.5 Inch Full HD screen running on MIUI 7. It is powered by 2.2 GHz Helio X10 octacore processor with 2 GB RAM support.
The phablet shoots 13 MP camera on the back with 5 MP selfie camera. It’s a 4G variant with 3060 mAh battery capacity. There is no official information on the release date in India. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime is one of the best-selling phablets and expected to launch in early 2016. The price could be around Rs 10000 to Rs 13000.
