Xiaomi continued their announcement along aside the Mi 5S with their successor to the Mi 5S, the 5S Plus. The dual camera phone to join Xiaomi’s family too.
The Mi 5S Plus 5.7-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass. The device is powered up by a 2.35 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU which is slightly a bit better over the Mi 5S. The Mi 5S Plus also comes in two RAM variants, the 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB of onboard storage and a 6 GB RAM variant with 128 GB storage aside. Both of these storage options come with UFS 2.0 technology which is same as the Mi 5S. The Mi 5S runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (still no signs of Nougat yet) with MIUI 8 running on top of it. It comes with Dual SIM card option as well.
The Mi 5S sports dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with Sony IMX258, one that captures in black and white and also has Dual image processor for processing the image captured using two sensors for some super shots. It also has dual-tone LED flash, (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus, 4K video recording and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera with a pixel size of 2 microns. It comes with a USB Type-C port and packs a 3800mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It has a full metal unibody design and is just 7.95mm thick. It has a standard fingerprint sensor on the back.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus comes in Gold, Dark Grey, Silver and Rose Gold colors and is priced at 2299 yuan (Rs. 22,910 approximately) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant costs 2599 yuan (Rs. 25,900 approximately) . It will be available in China from September 29th.
