There you go the most awaited smartphone from Xiaomi has been officially announced in China. Redmi 2A is the cheapest Xiaomi Smartphone till now with decent specifications. Xiaomi Redmi 2A holds the crown for the cheapest 4G LTE Android device.
Redmi 2A is a 4.7 inch device with IPS display with 1280*720 pixels resolution. Absolutely no change in screen size and quality when compared to Redmi 1s and Redmi 2. The phone houses 1.5 GHz Quadcore Leadcore LC1860C processor supporting Mali T28 GPU.
Redmi 2A runs on latest MIUI 6 with Android Kitkat 4.4.4 on the top. As expected, it has 1 GB RAM and 8 Gigs of internal storage with 32 GB expandable storage. There is 8 MP shooter on the back with BSI sensor functionality which shoots 1080P videos on the go. It has decent 2 MP camera on the front for taking selfies and video calling.
As mentioned earlier, it supports 4G LTE with 3G, 2G, Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. Xiaomi Redmi 2A powers 2200 mAh battery which easily last a day. The phone will be available in Pink, yellow green, dark grey and white variants which is something new from Xiaomi.
The expected price of Redmi 2A in India could be around Rs 5000. April 8 is the first flash sale of this device in china. Xiaomi is yet to clarify on global launch and in india expect around Q3
