Millions have booked JioPhone during the pre-orders in August. But very few of them get it delivered as of now. Jio is now in the process of shipping the device to those who pre-ordered. But one of the few iPhones in the market has exploded & melted in Kashmir while charging.
As of now, there is no official statement from Reliance Jio or LYF. But we can see in the images that the back of the JioPhone is wholly burnt and melted. But the front of the device is intact, but there is damage on the display. Also, the wire of the charger is dissolved when the phone exploded.
The charger of the JioPhone is also melted, but surprisingly the battery didn’t explode. The rear panel of the device got crushed intensively. The JioPhone packs a slightly bigger battery than other feature phones which is of 2000mAh capacity. According to the LYF distributor, the battery on the device is still working.
But we have to wait for the official statement from Reliance Jio. It is to be noted that the Jio Phone is manufactured by LYF Phones which is the subsidiary of Reliance Jio. Last year there were reports of the explosion of the LYF Water 1 Smartphone.
We have to wait for the original reason of the blast, and till then it is recommended that you should use the original battery and charger provided with your phone.
