Jio Feature Phone launched by Mukesh Ambani at Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2017. The phone is totally focussed on the users, who still use feature phones and village people in the rural areas. The main motto of launching this Jio phone is to migrate other feature phone users to Jio service.
The JioPhone’s effective price announced is Rs. 0, but you can grab this phone for a price of Rs. 1500 which will be refunded after 3 years. JioPhone has many surprises wrapped in it and were announced at the event. The device will support voice commands and the team has also given a demo on this feature which makes it an intelligent device. It has an SOS feature as well, which can be activated by pressing 5.
The JioPhone has a 2.4-inch display for watching movies in Jio Cinema app and can also watch Jio TV on the go. The device sports an AlphaNumerical keypad and has a four-way button for navigation. It also has an SD card slot for expandability and has a compact design. The device does all the basic stuff such as calling, FM radio, Torchlight and Jio Music and some of their apps preloaded with it. There is also an exciting offer for the JioPhone users which is going to be UNLIMITED DATA for the users and free calling forever.
The same plans in other 2G service providers can cost a hefty amount, but the Jio users can avail these offers at just around Rs. 153 per month which comes under Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. Addition to all of this Jio is also going to provide a cable to connect Large TV for television watching and you can avail this offer at Rs. 309 per month. The phone is also going to get NFC for making payments through UPI, Debit and Credit cards.
