OPPO has unveiled their latest smartphone in F-series as F5. The smartphone is mainly selfie-centric device and comes with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with A.I. beauty recognition technology that has capabilities of scanning 200 facial recognition spots to beautify and make a selfie shot perfectly and also offers bokeh effect. These features also help it to unlock the smartphone with face detection.
The OPPO F5 sports a 6-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 FHD+ full-screen 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The design is of unibody metal with Dual Sim Card support. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P20 16nm processor with 800MHz ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU.
It also comes with 4/6 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 on top. The optics are of a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED Flash. On the front, it has a 20MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. It boasts a 3200mAh non-removable battery.
The OPPO F5 arrives in Gold, Black and a Red version with 6GB of RAM. It will be available for a price tag of US$ 307 which is Rs. 19,985 approx. for 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. It will be available for sale in the Philippines from November 4th and OPPO has already promised to launch the F5 on Nov 2nd in India.
