HTC has recently announced their new smartphone in the mid-range segment of their U11 series at an event in Taiwan. It’s their first smartphone in the market to come with an 18:9 aspect ration Full-screen display. Like the first launched U11 and U11 Plus in the series, this smartphone also features Edge Sense technology for squeeze interaction, but this runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat).
Htc U11 EYEs sports a 6-inch (1080 x 2160 pixels) Full HD+ Super LCD 3 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 64-bit Mobile Platform with Adreno 510 GPU. The smartphone has a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expandable memory via microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with HTC Sense UI.
The camera it features is 12MP UltraPixel 3 rear camera with Dual LED flash, PDAF, OIS and a f/1.7 aperture with 4K video recording capabilities. On the front, it has a 5MP + 5MP dual front-facing shooter with f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree wide-angle lens and supports Real-time bokeh effects. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back and other connectivity options are 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0 Type-C.
The HTC U11 EYEs is IP67 rated Water and dust resistant and comes in Red, Silver and Black colors. It boasts a 3930mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0support. The device is priced at NT$ 14,900 which is Rs. 32020 approx. The smartphone is already available for pre-order and will be made available from February 1st in Taiwan.
