Xiaomi Redmi 5A with 5-inch display and 2GB RAM announced

Xiaomi has announced their successor for the Redmi 4A as Redmi 5A in China. The Redmi A-series is mostly going to be a budget-friendly smartphone with basic specifications for an affordable price. There aren’t many changes but comes with a metal design this year.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 500MHz Adreno 308 GPU. Coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top.

Coming to the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and LED Flash. A 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Some of the connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS. It boasts a 3000mAH of a battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4A will be available in three colors, Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colors. It is priced at 599 yuan (US$ 90 / Rs. 5880 approx.). The device is going to be sold from today in China. For further details, stay tuned to Android Junglee.
