Huawei Mate 10 with 5.9-inch Quad HD display and Kirin 970 processor announced

Huawei has announced their latest flagships for this year as Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro at an event in Munich, Germany. The Mate 10 comes with a unibody aluminum design and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the front, rather than the back like other contenders. This year also, Huawei took Leica’s help for the Dual Camera setup where they have Leica’s sensors on both.

The Huawei Mate 10 sports a 5.9-inch Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 970 10nm processor + i7 co-processor for neural network processing unit with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0.

Coming to the optics, it has a 20MP (Monochrome) + 12MP (RGB) Dual rear cameras with Leica Summilux-H lenses with a f/1.6 aperture, OIS and Dual Tone LED Flash. On the front, there is an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It boasts a 4000mAh battery with fast charging (SuperCharge technology).

The Mate 10 smartphones also support Artificial intelligence engine which is capable of offers Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition functionality, automatically choosing the perfect camera settings for any environment or focal point and also instantly translate text, voice, conversations, and images into 50+ languages.

The Huawei Mate 10 will be available in Champagne Gold, Classic Black, Pink Gold, and Mocha Brown colors.  The first countries that would be selling these smartphones are Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain and more. The price it is announced is for €699 (US$ 8255 / Rs. 53412 approx.) and will be selling in the month of November.
