Sony has launched two new smartphones the new Xperia R1 & Xperia R1 Plus. Both of them comes in a similar design. These devices come in Black and Silver colour variant and will be available for sale from November 10th via offline and online stores. The Xperia R1 costs Rs. 12,990 and the Xperia R1 Plus is priced at Rs. 14,990.
Both of the devices features a 5.2-inch 720p HD protected by 2.5D curved glass. These devices are powered by the Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The Xperia R1 packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage whereas the Xperia R1 Plus sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Internal memory can also be expanded via MicroSD card.
The Xperia R1 and R1 Plus feature a 13MP rear camera and a 8MP shooter for selfies. The devices run on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and Sony promises to release the Android 8.0 Oreo update soon. Both the devices are 4G VoLTE compatible and charge via USB-Type C.
Both the Xperia R1 & Xperia R1 Plus are backed up by a 2620 mAh non-removable battery. By looking at this specification we can easily say that these phones are not valued for money, at a price range of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 you can find much better options in the market.
