Qualcomm’s added support to Quick charge has been drastically increasing in the power since its release. And now after Quick Charge 3.0, Qualcomm is ready to being its newest addition to the Quick Charge technology which will be known as Quick Charge 4.0.
Snapdragon 821 processor already has added support for Quick Charge 3.0 but Qualcomm is set to launch their new processor, the Snapdragon 830 after the Snapdragon 821 chip. According to the reports from Fudzilla, we can expect Qualcomm to launch Quick Charge 4.0 technology support with the 830 chipset. We can expect speeds up to 28W from it. This will be Qualcomm’s most powerful fast charging solution till date.
The report according to its sources said that the new charger is expected to support configurations of up to 5V/4.7A~5.6A, 9V/4A. Qualcomm has developed a new technology called INOV (Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage) which actually identifies how much power the battery can handle at that particular moment and lowers and raises it as required to prevent overheating.
The first Snapdragon 830 device might launch in the Q1 of 2017 and we can expect that it might be the Galaxy S8 and by that time, we’ll be able to know more about the Quick Charge 4.0 technology.
