OnePlus has been hyping up it’s OnePlus 5 from a long time and the curtains were set all along for 20th June, 2017. And the date has came, the device is out too.
Well, the OnePlus 5 comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, as expected, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU. Coupling them aside is the 6 GB/8 GB LPDDR4X of RAM with 64 GB/128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage.
It runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box and has Oxygen OS flavor on the top of it. Apart from that, the interesting point is that we’ve a set of dual rear cameras on this device. One of the rear cameras being a 16 MP shooter whole the other being a 20 MP telephoto shooter and both of them having quite a large aperture. Other than that, we’re able to see a 16 MP front-facing camera as well here.
Leaving that, the design looks similar to iPhone 7 Plus and the Oppo R11. Connectivity features include Worldwide support for Mobile Networks, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and much more. It comes with a 3,300 mAh battery which is juiced up by Dash Charge 2.0 technology just like its predecessors.
According to the pricing, the OnePlus 5 will be available starting today starting at $479 for the 6 GB RAM variant whereas the 8 GB variant will retail at $539. The phone will be available in two colors – Slate Gray and Midnight Black.
