It’s today that OnePlus took the wrap off their third flagship device the OnePlus 3 through their virtual reality event. The OnePlus 3 revealed up with a new design similar to HTC 10. Unlike their previous devices, theOnePlus 3 gets the metal unibody built out of Aluminum alloy which is much better than the plastic feel (Though, we miss the sandstone finish from the OnePlus One). The OnePlus 3 sports a 5.5-inch OAMOLED (Optic Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) with Full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution and is well protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top of it.
OnePlus 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with Adreno 530 GPU and a whopping 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and not so less with a 64 GBinternal storage too and don’t even think about memory expansion as there’s no microSD card slot.
The phone runs on the latest Oxygen OS based onAndroid 6.1 Marshmallow. The home button powers a fingerprint sensor which unlocks the phone in 0.2sec approximately. Taking a look at the camera, it has a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor on the rear with PDAF and OIS with an aperture of f/2.0. It can record videos at 4K resolution at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and slow-motion video at 120fps. It houses an 8MP camera on the front with a 1.4µm pixel sensor and f/2.0 aperture. It can record videos at Full HD resolution.
The OnePlus 3 comes with dual SIM slots which support 4G LTE. The speakers on the OnePlus 3 come with Dirac technology for an awesome sound experience. To get all these things backed up it offers a 3000mAh non- removable battery and boosts up charging with their new technology called Dash. Charging which can charge up the phone from 0% to 60% in 30 minutes and doesn’t overheat by optimization of power control with their newly included 4A adapter which is almost 2x faster than normal devices.
Other connectivity features include NFC for mobile payments missed out in OnePlus 2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and a USB Type-C port. The device is 7.35 mm thick and weighs about 158 grams.
The device is available on Amazon exclusively with a price tag of Rs. 27,999. The only available color is graphite and there’ll be gold color options too since they’re not in stock. One thing to notice this time is that OnePlus 3 removed the invite system which is pretty cool.
