Nokia 6.1 Plus Will Be Launching Exclusively via Flipkart

HMD Global is all set to launch their new device in India the Nokia 6,1 Plus in India at an event in New Delhi. It is the same Nokia X6 which was launched in China this year. It is also going to be the first smartphone from Nokia with a notch and will be available exclusively via Flipkart.

The e-commerce website has released a small video featuring musicians Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy but the video doesn’t have any info about the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The video confirms that the new Nokia phone will be launched on August 21.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at HK$ 2,888 in Hong Kong which translates to $290 or Rs 20,110 but some rumours also suggest that we might see more aggressive pricing from Nokia and the device is going to be priced between Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 20,000. If we will see this kind of pricing in India then sure it is going to be a killer phone as it will give direct competition to Xiaomi’s Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 5.8-Inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. It is powered by the Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It is an Android One device so we can also expect some lighting fast updates with this but as of now, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. On the imaging front, the phone hoses a 16 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera setup and a 16 MP selfie snapper. It is backed up by a 3060 mAh battery with Fast charging support.
