It was in rumors that Andy Rubin (The Creator & Co-Founder of Android) was working on a new smartphone through his new company, Essential. Yesterday, Andy Rubin teased the smartphone they’ve been working on from the beginning of the year.
The image actually teases up a bezel-less device from the company. And it almost looks like a Xiaomi Mi Mix, though. It is rumored to have a Ceramic Display just like the Mi Mix and modular capabilities like the Moto Z. Taking a closer look, the image reveals that the smartphone will be running on a stock flavor of Android out of the box. And we can guess that it might be running on Nougat as of now and also might get an update to Android O (it’s not Oreo anyways) as well. It is expected to come with a 5.5-inches (or more) pressure sensitive display like the iPhone 6 and 7.
I’m really excited about how this is shaping up. Eager to get it in more people’s hands… pic.twitter.com/LRzQCFSKTm

We can also expect many things from Essential as well in the future like home products as well. But for now, the complete focus will be on the smartphone only in our guess.
