Coolpad has launched its smartphone Cool Play 6n the Indian market at Rs. 14,999 at a launch event in Dubai. The phone was launched in China in May this year and now they launched in India with similar pricing. The smartphone will go on sale via Amazon on September 4in Gold and Black colors.
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display. It is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (four 1.95GHz A72 cores + four 1.44GHz A53 cores) coupled with whopping 6GB of RAM (First device with 6GB RAM under 20k) and non-expandable built-in 64GB storage. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and Android O update is promised by the end of this year. This is dual sim smartphone which has dual nano sim card slots.
On the camera side, it features 2 13-MP sensors on the back with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and support for HDR and 4K video. For selfie, it has an 8-MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. All this is powered by a 4000mAh battery and Coolpad promises it has good software optimization and the device can deliver the performance of a 4500mAh battery. It also sports 4G VoLTE, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port.
Coolpad is planning to play a budget game with the launch of this smartphone because at a budget of 15000 no other smartphone is providing such kind of specification. On paper, it looks great and very promising. But we have to wait and look what kind of smartphone it will be in the real world and this time it should not heat up because the previous phone of Coolpad Cool 1 Dual heats up during the intesive task.
