Android Go smartphones to be unveiled in India soon

Google has announced a lighter version of Android for the cheap smartphones or we can also address them as the entry smartphones for beginners. The Android Go OS was announced a while back which was 9 months ago and there were speculations that the first smartphone with the lightest OS of Android would be Nokia 1 but, the rumors are now shelved.

Micromax, Intex, Karbonn, and Lava have reportedly tied up with Google to launch super-affordable 4G-capable smartphones that run Android Oreo (Go edition). Yes, you read it right. The smartphone companies which make affordable smartphones in the country have been traveling with Google quite a well to bring Android Go that will be priced as low as Rs 2000.

According to Google’s official reports, they are said that the smartphones would be debuting in 2018 and the first manufacturer to launch these smartphones would be Micromax which were revealed by some official reports. There are speculations that Micromax will be launching these Android Go smartphones on the Republic Day of India i.e., 26th of January.

The Android Go smartphones will be featuring a lowered downsize of popular apps such as YouTube Go and other apps which will be available in the specially designed Play Store of the OS. The Rs.2000 mobile markets in India are occupied by the feature phones like Jio Phone and others. By introducing these smartphones it will lead to a lot of interest in the ultra-affordable phone markets.
