Xiaomi announced their newest smartphone into the Redmi series, the Redmi 4. A completely unibody metal phone from the house of Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720) HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display. It runs on the latest MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Under the hood, we have Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.
It comes with an internal memory of 16 GB which can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 128 GB. On the other side, we get a 13 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing camera. For connectivity, we get 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS + GLONASS.
With this, Xiaomi also announced the high-end variant for Redmi 4 too which comes with the same specs as the Redmi 4 low-end variant but the difference here is the 5-inch display having a Full HD display and a 3 GB RAM with 32 GB of internal memory supported by a Snapdragon 625 chipset.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in 3 colors – Silver, Grey, and Gold colors and is priced at around Rs. 6900 approximately for the base variant with Snapdragon 430, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and the high-end version with Snapdragon 625, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 8880 approximately. Talking about sales, it’ll go on sale from November 11tg in China.
