Xiaomi is up with their latest flagship in China to compete with Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ directly with their Mi6 and as expected we get a Snapdragon 835 chipset. This is the second device to launch with a Snapdragon 835 chipset aside the Galaxy S8.
The Xiaomi Mi6 comes with a 5.15-inch Full HD display just its predecessor. Under the hood, we get a Snapdragon 835 as expected from the leaks with Adreno 540 GPU. We get a 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM for the 32 or the 64 GB variant whereas 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM for the 128 GB variant.
The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with MIUI 8.0 on top of it. We can see a Dual-Camera setup with 12 MP rear cameras and 8 MP front-facing camera. For connectivity, we get 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. And somehow, we don’t get the 3.5mm headphone jack sadly. Juicing up the device is a 3,350 mAh battery through Quick Charge 4.0 technology.
The device is available in five colors – Silver, Gray, Gold, Rose Gold, and Purple. The Mi6 is priced around 360 USD (Rs. 24,000 approximately) for the 64 GB variant which is expected to be priced at Rs 26999 in India whereas the 128 GB variant is priced at 420 USD (Rs. 27,500 approximately). There will be a Mi6 in Ceramic variant as well which is expected to be priced at 435 USD (Rs. 28,000 approximately).
