Xiaomi has officially announced their upcoming smartphone’s launch date on their Facebook handle. Recently, Xiaomi has announced Redmi 5 and 5 Plus in China. But, the Redmi Note 5 was clueless in China too, as it wasn’t launched first there. Now, it is said to be evident that Xiaomi India is going to launch the Redmi 5 Plus rebranded as Redmi Note 5 in India.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be coming with a 5.7-inch Full-view display. It will be powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 625/630 Chipset coupled with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage with expandable memory support via MicroSD card. It would also feature a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera with a rear fingerprint sensor. Other connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and hybrid dual SIM slot. It will be having a 4000mAh battery.
In the image posted by Xiaomi, it tells us that the smartphone is going to be launched on February 14th at a launch event in New Delhi. Some folks have checked the source codes of the post and they concluded that the device they are going to launch is Redmi Note 5 indeed. You can check out the screenshots above.
