Vivo Y79 with 5.99-inch Full View display and Snapdragon 625 announced

Vivo has announced their new smartphone at an event in China, which is dubbed as Vivo Y79. Vivo has already launched their V7+ selfie-centric smartphone a while back ago in India. This Vivo Y79 has the same specifications of V7+ except for the processor, where it is powered by a Snapdragon 625 instead of Snapdragon 450.

Vivo Y79 has a 5.99-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) 18:9 FullView 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. Coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. The Y69 runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat with Funtouch OS 3.2 on top.

As this device is a selfie-centric phone, it features a 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera features a 16MP OmniVision OV16880 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back and has a battery capacity of 3225mAh non-removable.

The Vivo Y79 will arrive in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, and Matte Black colors and comes with a price tag of 2498 yuan which is Rs. 24470 approx. There is no information on availability date. For more info, check out this space.
