Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launched in India

Samsung announced their most awaited Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus last month. Now, they launched S8 and S8 Plus officially in India. Samsung has launched this phones with a screen size of 5.8-inches on Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inches on Galaxy S8 Plus with Corning Gorilla 5 screen protection and both the devices come with QuadHD+ resolution but out of the box, the resolution would be at 1080p i.e., full HD.

These devices are also water resistant, which makes them be underwater at 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. Bixby is the new AI assistant for these devices and has a dedicated button for it on the left of the device. Speaking about the protection, both the devices come with Iris scanner on the front and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes with an Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. And is powered by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and comes with 64GB storage (UFS 2.1) which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. The camera’s of these devices are same from the last year’s Galaxy S7 which is a 12MP rear shooter and on the front, it has an 8MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 3000mAH battery and S8+ with 3500mAH and both devices support fast charging. So, the Galaxy S8 is priced at Rs.57900 and S8+ at Rs.64900 and comes in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colours, while the S8+ also comes in Coral Blue colour. You can pre-order exclusively on Flipkart and Samsung Shop goes on sale from May 5th.
