Ringing Bells is making headlines as the cheapest smartphone brand company. The desi brand has announced the Freedom 251 which is the cheapest smartphone costing just Rs 251. Earlier, Ringing Bells has announced the cheapest 4G LTE smartphone for Rs 2999. Freedom 251 has received over 30k orders and 6 lakhs hits per second on their website.
The Freedom 251 is the rebranded version of Adcom which is available under 4k. According to the experts, it is impossible to manufacture at such a low price. Is it a scam or innovative marketing strategy? Well, we need to wait till June when the phone will get delivered.
Freedom 251 comes with the 4-inch qHD display running on Android Lollipop 5.1. Yes, it is not java based device but an Android smartphone. It has 1 gig of RAM powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core chipset. Ringing Bells Freedom 251 packs 8 GB of internal storage and has expandable storage up to 32 GB.
The smartphone sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and has a 0.3-megapixel front shooter. The device gets the power from 1450 mAh battery. Other key features include 3G,2G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The smartphone can be pre-ordered on Freedom251. Ringing Bells says it has over 650 service centers in India. The delivery will start from June 2016 which is too late. Remember “Aakash Tablet”? Which failed miserably. Let’s hope this device gets delivered to the respected buyers.
