Nokia 6 (2018) with 5.5-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 630 announced

HMD Global has announced their latest mid-range smartphone in the year 2018 as Nokia 6. The smartphone is the successor to Nokia 6 (2017) which was launched last year, firstly in China. As expected, Nokia 6 (2018) model has been officially announced. There are some minor changes from the predecessor coming to the successor.

Nokia 6 (2018) sports a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 Mobile platform with Adreno 508 GPU. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 32GB / 64GB (eMMC 5.1) internal memory with expandable memory up to 128GB via Micro SD card. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and can be upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo).

It has Dual-Sight technology that uses both front and rear cameras at a time to capture Bothie – a split screen visual for both photos and videos. It features a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and has PDAF with f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an 84° wide-angle lens. The other connectivity features are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear and the device packs in a 3000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging.

The Nokia 6 (2018) is available in Black and Silver colors, where the 32GB storage version is priced at 1499 yuan (Rs. 14,655 approx.) and the 64GB storage version costs 1699 yuan (Rs. 16,610 approx.). The smartphone is now available for pre-orders and will be on sale from January 10th. The global launch is not yet decided.
