Micromax launched the ultra-affordable 4G Android smartphone Bharat 2 Ultra in India under the collaboration with Vodafone. The effective price of the device is Rs. 999 and it is expected to go on sale in November. Earlier this year Micromax launched the Bharat 1 4G VoLTE phone in collaboration with BSNL.
Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra is priced at Rs. 2899, and you have to pay the entire amount during purchase. It is mandatory to use a Vodafone SIM card with the smartphone and recharge monthly with Rs. 150. Benefits of the plan are not announced yet.
Customers have to recharge with the Rs. 150 for 36 months and only then they will be eligible for Rs. 1,900 cashback in Vodafone m-pesa account. The cashback will be provided to customers in two parts. After 18 months a cashback of Rs. 900 will be released and the next cashback of Rs. 1,000 is offered after the next 18 months. It means that customers will have to pay Rs. 5,400 and then they will be eligible for cashback of Rs. 1,900.
The Bharat 2 Ultra is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor which is coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a 4-inch WVGA display. The Bharat 2 Ultra packs a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. It is backed up by a 1,300mAh battery.
