BlackBerry KEYone with Qwerty Keyboard launched at Rs. 39,999 in India

BlackBerry has launched their KEYone smartphone in partnership with manufacturing and distribution partner Optiemus Infracom in India. They made the deal way back in November 2016. The BlackBerry KEYone is going to be their last designed in-house by the company. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 with BlackBerry’s own security and software features out-of-the-box.

BlackBerry KEYone sports a 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) 3:2 display with 433 PPI, scratch-resistant glass protection.The device is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with 650MHz Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB with SD card.

The qwerty keypad is placed on the bottom of the device and has a capacitive touch for scrolling and other functionalities, support for flick typing, up to 52 customizable shortcuts. It also has fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the spacebar key of the keypad. The model which is going to be available in India will be a Hybrid dual SIM (nano + nano/ microSD) where as international variant has only single sim variant.

Coming to the optics, it has a 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and Sony IMX378 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and has 4K video recording capabilities. On the front, the device has 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The KEYone has all the necessary connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C.

The BlackBerry KEYone has a battery capacity of 3505mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The smartphone will be available in Limited Edition Black color and comes with a price tag of Rs. 39,990. The BlackBerry KEYone will be exclusively available on Amazon.in from August 8th.
