Xiaomi has teased another smartphone which is expected to be the selfie-centric phone. It could be in the line up of selfie-centric Y series in India. Currently, there are Redmi Y1 and Y1 lite and both are a selfie-centric smartphone. According to the rumors, the upcoming smartphone could be the Redmi Y2.
The upcoming Redmi Y2 could be the rebranded Redmi S2 which was launched just a few days back in China. The smartphone sports a 5.99-Inch display with HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3 GB RAM with 32 Gigs storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 Gigs storage.
The upcoming Redmi Y2 will offer a 16 MP selfie camera with LED flash. On the rear, there will be a dual rear camera setup consist of 12 MP + 5MP sensors with LED flash support. It will be dual sim smartphone with 4G VoLTE capabilities and also had a dedicated sim card slot. The device is backed up by a 3080 mAh battery. It is rumoured that the smartphone might launch with stock Android 8.1 Oreo under Andtordi One program but the Redmi S2 in China runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo.
