Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro is now available internationally for $129.99 from Gearbest. Redmi 2 Pro is the upgraded version of Xiaomi Redmi 2 which is available in India for Rs 5999( $94.63). In India, the phone might named as Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime. The phone was spotted on Amazon.in with detailed specifications.
Coming to the specifications, Redmi 2 Prime sports 4.7 Inch IPS HD display with 1280*720 pixels resolution.The Xiaomi phone is powered by Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 64 Bit quadcore processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. The smartphone packs 2 GB of RAM, which is upgraded compared to Redmi 2 which has only 1 GB of RAM. There is another added feature is 16 GB of Internal storage which is 8 GB more than Redmi 2. It has 32 GB expandable Micro SD slot.
The Redmi 2 Pro runs on Android KitKat 4.4 with MIUI 6 flavour on the top. The device shoots 8 MP AF rear camera with LED Flash on the back. It has 2 MP fixed focus selfie camera. The camera is way better compared to another 150$ android device. The rear camera can record 1080P full HD videos. The smartphone houses 2200 mAh battery which can last for a day. The chipset supports 4G LTE with dual sim functionality. Other features include 3G, 2G, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Phone is available in Black and white variants. If you want Redmi 2 with 2 GB of RAM then surely you should wait for Prime/Pro version. It will be interesting to see the price, I guess the Prime version will be priced at Rs 6999.
