Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845, and 8GB RAM announced

Xiaomi has announced their successor for the Mi Mix 2 in China as Mi Mix 2s. The smartphone doesn’t get any major design changes but has a newer Qualcomm Processor and Dual cameras on the rear which does look similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It has support for AI portrait selfies with real-time background blur and the phone also has face unlock.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s sports a 5.99-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 display with a DCI-P3 color gamut. It is powered by a 2.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 64-bit 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 8/6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. It also supports Dual SIM (nano + nano) and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 on top.

Checking the cameras, it has a Dual 12MP cameras with f/1.8 aperture and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The first camera is a wide-angle lens with 1/2.6? Sony IMX363 sensor, the secondary camera comprises a telephoto lens with 2X Optical Zoom. The front facing camera is of a 5MP with real-time AI portraits. Other connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear and the battery capacity is of 3400mAh with Qualcomm 3.0 fast charging and 7.5W Qi wireless charging.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s will be available in Ceramic White and Ceramic Black colors and comes with a price tag of 3299 yuan for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version and 3599 yuan for the 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The high-end model will cost 3599 yuan with 6GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It also packs in a wireless charger worth 99 yuan and will also be made available for purchasing. The pre-orders have already started and will be on sale from April 3rd in Chinese markets.
