Xiaomi Launched Mi A2 at Just Rs 16,999

Xiaomi has finally launched their most-anticipated smartphone the Mi A2 in India. They have already launched it globally but now it has come to India and the pricing starts from Rs 16,999.

The Mi A2 Sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and it doesn’t have a notch. It is the exact same phone the Mi 6X which was launched in China this year. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

On the imaging front, the Mi A2 packs a dual rear-camera system with a primary 20MP f/1.75 sensor and a secondary 12MP f/1.75 sensor. There’s also a 20MP selfie snapper on the front which also has the Face Unlock feature. The Mi A2 runs on the stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box instead of MIUI, thanks to Google’s Android One program. It is energized by a  3,000 mAh battery which supports 18W Quick Charge 4+ charging via the USB Type-C port. One thing to note that the phone doesn’t have any 3.5mm headphone jack.

In India, the Mi A2 will be available only in 4GB RAM + 64GB variant which is priced at Rs. 16,999 but doesn’t worry Xiaomi has confirmed that the higher-end 6GB+128GB variant is coming soon. The sales will start from the August 16 and pre-orders will begin on August 9 on Amazon and Mi.com. The smartphone will be available in four different colour variants, Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold.
