Xiaomi crosses 2 Million Smartphone Sales in India in Q3 of 2016

Today, Xiaomi announced that it has sold over 2 million smartphones in India just in the Q3 of 2016 only. This makes a growth of 150% compared to the same quarter last year, said Xiaomi India.

Last week, the company said that it had sold 1 million units of Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime smartphones in just 3 months after launch in India on Flipkart. To celebrate this up, Xiaomi is holding up a contest on Facebook to share their Facebook post and the lucky winner will stand a chance to have a dinner with Xiaomi India’s head Manu Kumar Jain. Also, Xiaomi recently said that it sold more than 2.3 million units of Redmi Note 3 smartphones in India till September. October has also seen a hike in sales on major e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal.

According to some external reports out there, it is said that Xiaomi boosted up the shipments to a large extent in the last quarter too. It is now said that Xiaomi has around 7.4% market share in the India as well.
