Vivo X9, X9 Plus and XPlay 6 with Dual Cameras Launched Officially in China

In India, Vivo has launched their V5 yesterday and also teased the V5 Plus with front-facing dual camera setup too. But, in China Vivo has already brought the dual camera feature there, though. At an event today, Vivo launched their new X9 and X9 Plus smartphones oficially with dual camera setup in the front.

The Vivo X9 comes with a 5.5-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080) display. Under the hood, we get an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2 GHz coupled up with an Adreno 506 GPU onboard. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and is available in 64 GB and 128 GB onboard memory variants. The X9 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based FunTouch 3.0 OS with highly customized UI out of the box. In terms of camera, we get a 16 MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash and also 20 MP + 8 MP dual front cameras with both the sensors having fixed focus. The device comes with a Hi-Fi chip embedded into the device. The device is backed up by a 3,050 mAh non-removable battery.

On the other side, the Vivo X9 Plus has a bigger screen with 5.88-inches display at the same Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Under the hood, we get an octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor clocked at 2 GHz coupled up with an Adreno 510 GPU onboard.  It comes with 6 GB of RAM and is available in 64 GB onboard memory variant only. The X9 Plus also runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based FunTouch 3.0 OS with highly customized UI out of the box. In terms of camera, we get the same 16 MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash and also the same 20 MP + 8 MP dual front cameras with both the sensors having fixed focus. But we get two Hi-Fi chips embedded here into the device compared to the X9. The battery is slightly more backed up compared to the X9 with a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery.

The Vivo XPlay 6 here is the most powerful among all these three devices and making it the flagship device of Vivo too. We get a 5.46-inch dual curved Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution. Under the hood, we get an octa-core Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15 GHz coupled up with 6 GB of RAM and onboard memory of 128 GB. But unlike the X9 and X9 Plus, we have the dual camera setup at the back with 12 MP + 5 MP rear cameras and a 16 MP front-facing camera as well. The Hi-Fi chips available here are three so we can expect great audio output from this device. The XPlay 6 is backed up by a 4,080 may non-removable battery as well.

According to the pricing and availability, the X9 is priced at 2,798 Yuan (Rs. 28,000 aprrox.) for the 64 GB variant and 2,998 Yuan (Rs. 30,000 approx.) for the 128 GB variant. It’ll go on sale in only China from November 24th. The pricing for the X9 Plus has yet to be announced on December 26th. And the XPlay 6 will be priced at 4,498 Yuan (Rs. 45,000 approx.) and will be sold online as well as in offline markets from December 12th.
