You must have seen a futuristic Vivo smartphone in the Captain America movie. Now the company has introduced first of its kind “Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution”. Vivo has showcased this technology at the MWC 2017 Shangai, it’s just a prototype where you can see this tech in upcoming Vivo smartphone.
The technology is based on Qualcomm Fingerprint sensors where you can unlock the device with a fingerprint sensor on the display itself. It is referred as ” Vivo Ultrasonic Under Display Scanning Solution”, a piezoelectric effect used to produce signals and receive using ultrasonic signals. It scans the image, passes through an OLED display and unlocks it.
This helps to achieve bezel-less design without any physical button for a fingerprint scanner. Also, it’s a waterproof and dustproof, you can unlock the smartphone even with wet fingers.
