After so many leaks and rumours, Vivo NEX has finally launched in Shanghai. The Vivo NEX is the final version of the prototype concept phone which was shown at MWC. Vivo has launched two smartphones NEX S and the NEX A and both ditches the notch in favour of a pop-up camera. Not only that these are the first devices which claim to offer 91.2% screen-to-body ratio.
Vivo NEX S is the flagship device with Snapdragon 845, on the other hand, the Vivo NEX A is powered by the Snapdragon 710 which we have seen in Xiaomi Mi 8SE.
Both the Vivo NEX phones have identical glass design and sports a 6.59-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio. The premium NEX S is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and comes in two internal variants one with 128GB and the other one with 256GB.
In terms of camera, both the Vivo NEX sport dual 12MP (Sony IMX363) + 5MP cameras at the back and the primary 12MP sensor also feature 4-axis OIS and a lens of aperture f/1.8. On the front, there is pop up selfie snapper on both models which has an 8MP sensor. The smartphone is backed up by a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo-with Funtouch OS 4.0 UI on top. Interestingly the device also comes with a headphone jack
Alongside the impressive full-screen display, the device also features an in-display fingerprint scanner that we have already seen in Vivo X21 UD. For the earpiece, the phone has a piezoelectric speaker like the original Mi Mix.
