Google’s Android One Project was kick-started last year partnering with Indians OEM’s. The Android One is a budget oriented project which was introduced to target low-end smartphones. India was the first country to receive Android One Smartphones. Initially, they performed decently in Indian Market but eventually the project was not up to the expectations.
As promised, Google released updates regularly to Android One smartphones. Even after pricing so low they didn’t perform well in the market. Now Google is set to reboot Android One project in next few weeks. Last year, they targeted $100 sub-range category, starting from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000. They are rebooting the project to target even low-end customers.
As we know “Indians are price conscious“, so now they are targeting $50 sub-range category, starting from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000. The price seems to be pretty low which will surely attract new customers. So what’s better than having a stock Android experience pricing as low as Rs 2000.
