Ulefone has introduced their rugged smartphones range last year and now announced the successor as Ulefone Armor 2. This device comes with IP68 certification which in turn makes this dust and water proof with its build. The Armor 2 can survive a depth of up to 1.5-meter in water for a period of an hour.
Ulefone Armor 2 sports a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.6GHz MediaTek Helio P25 Octa-Core 64-bit 16nm processor with ARM Mali T880 GPU and a 6GB of RAM. The storage given is of 64GB and can be expanded by a microSD up to 256GB.
The build consists of a rugged housing that is made of flexible TPU and the display is a glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate and metal made. The corners of does have protective nubs to sustain drops and accidental falls. The device is made with resistant against extreme temperatures with working range from -40? and 80?.
The Armor 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and has Dual Sim support. The optics are of a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, an 8MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. There is also a fingerprint sensor for unlocking and barometer sensor for measuring air pressure and altitude in real time. The battery capacity is of a 4700mAh with their self-made, Pump Express Plus 2.0 fast charging.
The Ulefone Armor 2 will be available in two color variants, Dark Gray, and Golden colors. The smartphone will be on sale from August 15th and is expected to come with a price tag of 269.99 USD which is Rs. 17300 approx.
