Samsung announced their flagship of this year and the newest in the Galaxy S lineup, the Samsung Galaxy S8. And today, we figure why should you get the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy S8+.
INFINITY DISPLAY
contents
In the era of the bezel-less design, the new Infinity Display on the Samsung Galaxy S8 fits in perfectly. The Infinity display gives you a full-screen experience without losing the grip in your hands. Well, the beauty of the display is admirable in all sort of ways. The curved display now seamlessly melts into the phone’s aluminum casing creating a level of immersion you see and feel yourselves. The big Infinity Display on the other part gives the ability to make use of the space like you can text while watching a video without losing any space. In my case, I can’t wait to see the Infinity Display in reality. Make sure to follow Android Junglee for a full review when we get our hands on it.
BIXBY
Bixby is the new big thing that Samsung claims and is the new virtual assistant from Samsung which is actually a lot better than Siri. But a close competitor to Cortana and Google Assistant as well. Bixby can do much more things than what Google Assistant can do. It’s a whole new way to interact with your phone. Bixby uses neural-linking to recognize things via camera and more about you.
USER EXPERICE
The Galaxy S8 now comes with a redesigned TouchWiz UI interface to blend in with the Infinity Display. Even the phone’s app icons and typography incorporate the Galaxy S8’s design language through a play of continuous curves and lines. Also, the ringtones have also been updated to better harmonize with the design.
CAMERA
The Camera on the Samsung Galaxy S8 is much familiar to the one on the S7. The slight improvement over here is just the image processing. It’s well improved now compared to the previous one on S7. Samsung claims that we can take burst shots even in low light without compromising on quality. The dual-pixel sensor technology, wide aperture and fast autofocus of the 12 MP F1.7 rear camera work together to create beautiful photographs even in low-light conditions.
The 8 MP F1.7 front camera is now equipped with enhanced autofocus features and facial recognition technology that can recognize and track faces to provide clear, focused selfies, regardless of the distance between the user and the camera.
SECURITY
Another reason to get the Samsung Galaxy S8 would be the new enhanced security features. The S8 now comes with the enhanced iris scanner just like the one on Note 7. There’s a new feature called facial recognition which tends to be much faster than I’ve ever seen earlier.
The Galaxy S8 also provides various security services including Secure Folder, an encrypted folder that keeps private information separate and safe with an added layer of security, and Samsung Pass, which lets users easily log into mobile banking apps and websites on the Samsung Internet Browser using biometric authentication.
Well, if these things excite you more, then you might get ready to pre-order it from tomorrow right away! The S8 will be available from April 21 and in India, it’ll be released on May 5th with the Exynos version.
