Top 10 Apple Apps For Students To Learn Math

Math apps

Instead of having the kids play games all the time on your tablet or phone, you can have them play math games. Some of them are good for parents who also want to get involved in what their children are doing on their tablet or phone. Here are ten apple apps for students that will help to learn math.

Math apps

1. Matchmatics

contents

It is an aptly named iPad app that uses puzzles to help children learn how to do math. There are equation questions that are posed as image problems, and you can make the questions harder as you progress. This is handy for people of any age if they are struggling with basic and intermediate math. You can also set a timer to make the app more challenging. You can also try out the free sample app where you are posed ten questions.

2. Marble Math

This is an iPad app that helps students learn multiplication by using maze problems. You get to move through the maze if you get the correct answers within the game. If you get the incorrect answer then you find it more difficult to get through the maze. The games get harder as time goes on so that an incorrect answer will add obstacles to the maze. You earn marbles in the game by scoring higher and higher points on the mazes.

3.Todo K-2 Math

This is an iPad app for younger students who are given timed math problems. It is for younger students who are just getting to grips with math and need to learn how to do math under pressure because they will soon start having exams on math topics. You may break up the questions with the timer, and you may set a shorter and shorter time limit so that the student is put under more pressure.

4. 4 Dice

This app allows a child to learn how to do basic math and moves them into things such as fraction and slightly more advanced math. The dice are used to generate random numbers that are used in the math problems. There is no need for the time limit, as a student may pause the game and work out the answer before having to continue.

5.Math Champ

This is an iPad app that allows students to challenge themselves with math problems. There are quizzes on math and you can host quizzes too with the app. You can work with your child and compete with math competitions. It may be used as a more sociable math app, but it may be hard to convince kids to play it together when there are so many great video game consoles they would rather be playing.

6.Sushi Monster

This is an iPad app that tries to make learning math fun. It gives multiplication problems and addition problems within a game where you have to feed a sushi monster. You have to get the right answer so that you may feed the monster in increments that it enjoys. Apparently, this monster does not like being fed too much or too little at one time. Some monsters are clearly ungrateful for the free food, in which case the student shouldn’t feel too bad for getting the questions wrong.

7.5 Dice

Is it similar to the app mentioned previously with a similar name? Yes it is–it is the same premise with dice and equations. Should you buy it? If your child got a lot from the 4 Dice version then yes you should definitely go for this one too (plus it is free for the iPad).

8.10monkeys

This is an iPad app for children that helps to teach math by using cartoon monkeys. It increases the challenge by giving more reward points for answering the questions quickly, so it may be worth a go if your child wants a points payoff.

9.Math vs Zombies

This is another iPad app that uses a gimmick to sell the idea of math to children (a little like the 10 monkeys app). There are three spooky worlds to choose from where the child is posed math questions where they have to answer before the zombies catch up. Your child may engage with it, so it is worth a go because it is free.

10.Fizzy’s Lunch Lab Fresh Pick

This app was created by the PBS kid’s network and is for the iPad. It is supposed to challenge children with math problems that are wrapped with problem solving puzzles. It is a nice idea, but it does seem to be lacking in challenges and if your child is particularly bright then he or she is probably going to reprogram the game into something closer to angry birds where Big Bird from Sesame Street is dropped from a bomber aircraft. Don’t give the app a miss, but do not be surprised if your brighter children are throwing the iPad across the room after finishing the game within the hour.
