1. Delete Unwanted Apps
Delete unnecessary apps which runs on background. For instance if you love messenger apps such as Whatsapp, Wechat, Viber, Line, fb messenger and lists goes on, they all run in background and drain battery life. So keep the apps which are necessary for you and delete unwanted apps to save battery in android phones.
2. Say No to Auto Synchronisation and Background Data
Auto synchronisation drains lot of battery as synchronise all the apps running in the device. To disable auto sync, just go to settings -> accounts and sync -> disable background and auto sync which can save battery
3. Remove Widgets and Kill Apps
Using more widgets can extract lot of juice from battery. So delete widgets which are unnecessary for you. Most of the people forget to kill apps after finishing task, must kill apps after use. If you have old Android version (2.3) ,just install task killer app. The latest Android Versions ( ICS and jellybean ) can kill apps easily. Long press home button and remove it. Don’t use task killer apps as themselves drains lot of battery.
4. Auto Brightness, Disable Wifi and Mobile data
In Android 2.3 gingerbread it doesn’t have auto brightness option, you have adjust manually. For ICS and Jellybean just enable auto brightness. Keep Wifi and Mobile data off to increase battery life.
5. Say No To Launchers and Live Wallpapers
Everyone love Launchers and Live wallpapers but they extract lot of juice from your battery. If you want to save battery just don’t use them or use it to minimal.
