After discontinuing their Z lineup, Sony is finally up with their new X series of smartphones. But, it seems that Sony still can’t forget their Z series. That’s why they bought all of them into X series with some improvements and that’s why it is why instead of naming z6, they named it XZ.
The XZ features a 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos display (1080 x 1920 pixels) with X-Reality engine and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. A Snapdragon 820 64-bit 14nm quad-core processor with Adreno 530 GPU goes under the hood of the XZ. We get 3 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Nougat may hit it up soon). The XZ packs a 23-megapixel rear camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus that lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion, so you can capture the action in perfect focus, free from blur. It has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with 22mm wide-angle lens. For connectivity, we have 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. But, the numbers get a little bit lowered if we talk about the battery. Having a 2,900 mAh battery is quite less but thank god that it comes with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.
The Sony Xperia XZ comes in Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum, is priced at Rs. 51,990 (MRP), while the MOP or Best Buy price is Rs. 49,990. It will be available from October 10th and can be pre-booked at all Sony Center, select retail outlets and online exclusively on Amazon.in from 1st October to 10th October 2016. We get also some things bundled in like Quick Charger UCH12 in the box, Sony LIV: Free 3 months subscription worth Rs.349, and Modern Combat 5 Gameloft credits worth Rs.780.
