Samsung is all set to launch its new flagship device the Galaxy Note 9 in August. As the launch is coming nearer new rumours are also floating around. In the latest rumour from Korea says that the Korean giant is also planning to launch the Gear S4 smartwatch alongside with the Galaxy Note 9. The Gear S4 is rumoured to pack a 470mAh battery which is slightly higher as compared to 380mAh in the predecessor. We would love to see the Gear S4 running the Wear OS but it is also likely that Samsung will stick to there own Tizen OS.
In the latest report which says that the Samsung will use Panel Level Packaging (PLP) to build the application processor (AP) for the Gear S4. It is much more efficient wafer-level packages which will make the Gear S4 even thinner.
There will be two variants of Gear S4, one is Gear S4 Classic which is expected to come in Gold, Silver and Black colour. On the other hand, there is also a new Gear S4 Frontier model which will be very similar to the Gear S3. Still, we have no idea about the pricing and other specifications.
