Samsung’s next flagship smartphones are already on cards for the launch. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are all set to reveal at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at Las Vegas in 2018. As per some speculations, there would be no major design changes but will be in the internals. The Dual Cameras will only be featured in one of these devices and that too on Galaxy S9+ rather than on S9. The other details are similar to the predecessor Galaxy S8.
It is said that both the flagships Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be teased at CES 2018 to create some expectations around the consumers. A famous tipster Evan Blass has claimed these speculations and also the other brands such as LG, Sony and HTC have always used the platform of CES to launch and showcase their smartphones but many premium smartphones are unveiled at the MWC in Barcelona, Spain. As per the leaks from Evan, it is said that there would no differences in design and will be identical to predecessors.
The model numbers for the Galaxy S9 is SM-G960 and Galaxy S9+ is SM-G965 and their code names are mentioned as Star 1 and Star 2. The displays would be 5.8-inch for smaller variant and 6.2-inch for the plus variant with curved edges and Super AMOLED displays. The smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm’s 10nm fabrication process based Snapdragon 845 SoC in the western countries and the global version will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 SoC.
Coming to the cameras, this time the only the S9+ would be coming with Dual Cameras and will be placed in a vertical posture. The devices will be coming with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory with expandable memory support via SD card. The Galaxy S9 would only come with 4GB of RAM as it is going to be the smaller variant with minor differences. There was also a picture of the case leaked for the Galaxy S9+, which reveals it’s camera position on the back.
