Xiaomi Redmi note 3 full review

There has never been a good time as this  one to buy a smartphone, especially due the surge of Chinese phone manufacturers into the Indian phone market, one does not need to spend huge chunks of money to get good smartphone experience as we are getting premium specs for a fraction of the price.Today we are checking out one such device, the Redmi note 3 which also claims to offers serious specifications crafted in a premium build.so let’s find out whether it delivers on its claims in our full review of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Starting with the build unlike its predecessors, the Redmi note 3 offers gorgeous metal body construction and curved all around edges which give the device a premium feel and aesthetically pleasing looks. but on the flip side, this adds to making the device quite slippery and hard to use in one hand due to its already large footprint. So better of you add a case to protect your device from getting scratched or beaten up, moving to the front the device sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display with which is decent, the colours are great the screen has deep blacks, good saturation and also quite viable in direct sunlight , though we would appreciate greater pixel density, overall  the screen looks gorgeous and is of the best displays in this price range, above it is the speaker phone along with the front facing camera, deep down are capacitive touch buttons for navigation which are also backlit while the power and volume buttons are on the right and the left houses a sim/sd card hybrid slot.adding to the fun is IR blaster on top with which you can control any device from TVs to ACs using the included app

Coming to the primary functions of mobile phone which are voice calling messaging etc the note 3 performance decently, the call quality is good and gets adequately loud while the signal reception is also decent.Taking a look at the back we have the 16-megapixel camera with dual tone led flash (about which we will talk about in a bit), a fingerprint sensor which helps to add extra security for your device,it works most of the time but sometimes fails to recognise the finger but this can be fixed with a software update so we give it a pass,

But the area where the Redmi note 3 does surprise is the performance section the device is powered by the snapdragon 650 chipset paired with Adreno 510 GPU and is available in 3 or 2 GB variant though we are covering the 2 GB variant it doesn’t lack in aspect compared to the 3gb variant, the performance on the device is buttery smooth, let it be gaming multitasking  or anything the phone handles with breeze zero lag what so ever even considering we here have Xiaomi mI UI on top of android, talking about the MI UI it is quite different from stock android experience, as to how its implement the notification area the quick toggle setting and the running apps screen etc etc, it is not bad in any sense it performs well and is responsive but it is different nonetheless.

Overall the device offers good user experience in the software front all the while lasting very long on the battery which packs in huge 4000 mah capacity, if you are looking for a phone with good battery life the note 3 will not disappoint, we easily managed to get 5 and half hours of screen on time with medium to heavy usage which is great.Let’s talk about the camera, the Redmi note 3 has 16 mp camera ,which takes decent photos in good light, but the pictures tend to be a bit under-saturated and lack bit of detail, while HDR helps in this situations but makes the camera slower, in low light situations photos look ok but are bit noisy, considering the price the camera is good.

c,

Here are some sample shots

For the price of 12000 for 3gb variant and 10000 for 2gb variant, the Redmi note 3 offers a great package with great build stellar battery and good performance which makes it one the best phone under 10000
