Razer is a popular brand for its gaming laptops and accessories. There have been many leaks on the web about their new gaming smartphone as they have also bought the NextBit smartphone company. Now, they have announced it as Razer Phone at an event in London. The main highlights of this Razer Phone are its 120Hz Refresh Rate display, and UltraMotion’s adaptive refresh technology synchronizes the GPU and its display to remove image tearing or lag while driving efficient power usage said by Razer themselves.
The Razer Phone sports a 5.72-inch Quad HD IGZO LCD UltraMotion display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. Coupled with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 2TB via MicroSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Android 8.0 Oreo upgradable. It boasts a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support.
Coming to the optics, it has rear Dual 12MP sensors with Dual LED Flash and f/1.7, f/2.6 apertures respectively. On the front, it features an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button on the right. It also features a stereo front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The 3.5mm jack is replaced with a USB Type-C port with24-bit Audio DAC which is certified by THX.
The Razer Phone comes at a price of $699 (Rs. 45,160 approx.) in USA and £699.99 (Rs. 59,940 approx.) in Europe. This gaming smartphone will be available for sale across two countries from November 17th and pre-orders have already started.
