Xiaomi’s new sub-brand has finally made its debut in India and they launched their first-ever smartphone, the Poco F1. The Chinese giant is all ready to make its mark in the budget flagship segment with this phone.
Poco F1 is priced very aggressively in India as its base variant starts at 20,999 and it is ready to give tough competition to OnePlus, Asus and Honor in the sub 30K price bracket. Below are the exact details of the price of every variant of Poco F1.
- 6GB + 64GB Rs 20,999
- 6GB + 128GB Rs 23,999
- 8GB + 256GB Rs 28,999
- 8GB + 256GB (Kevlar Edition) Rs 29,999
The device is available in three colour variants Steel Blue, Rosso Red, and Graphite Black and will be exclusively available online via Flipkart and Xiaomi’s Mi stores across the country. The first sale of Poco F1 is scheduled for August 29.
If we talk about specs the Poco F1 sports a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display, with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. The notch on the phone not only houses the selfie camera but also has the ‘IR Face Unlocking’ hardware similar to the Xiaomi Mi 8. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 845 coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It runs on special MIUI designed for Poco by Xiaomi which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
On the imaging front, the Poco F1 packs a dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera setup and a single 20MP front camera for selfies. The smartphone has a USB Type C port along with a headphone jack. The device is energised by a 4,000mAh battery, coupled with Quick Charge 3.0.
On paper, specs look amazing and it also provided very good value for money. Surely it will give tough competition to the likes of OnePlus 6 and ZenFone 5Z. But the only thing which I personally don’t like the is the plastic build which makes it the most expensive phone to come with a plastic back even Xiaomi’s budget offering has a metallic build and it also doesn’t have any IP rating or any kind of wireless charging. Otherwise, the device looks good and can outperform any device priced similar to it.
