Just a few days back Xioami has officially announced their sub-brand POCO which is to be called POCO in India and POCOPHONE globally. As we already know the new smartphone brand will be focused on budget flagship phones like OnePlus 6 and Asus Zenfone 5Z. But now we get the official confirmation that the company is launching the smartphone in India on August 22nd at an event in Delhi.
POCO India has announced that their first phone POCO F1 will be unveiled on August 22. And the launch invite has the tagline ‘Master of Speed’ which indicates towards flagship like performance from the device. POCO has already confirmed that the new F1 smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon SoC, which we think is going to be the Snapdragon 845.

The POCO F1 is going to compete with phones like OnePlus 6, Asus Zenfone 5Z, Honor 10 and Honor Play. A leaked unboxing of the phone also hinted that the phone will have a metallic back and a 5.99 inch 19.5:9 display. There will be a dual rear camera system with 12MP+5MP combination along with a 20MP selfie camera. The phone is likely to run MIUI based on Android Oreo and will be the Xiaomi’s flagship in India for 2018.
