OPPO has launched their new smartphone in the A-series as the A83. The highlights of the device are an 18:9 aspect ratio display and face unlock feature. Yes, the smartphone has no fingerprint scanner but it purely conveys the public that they have copied the Apple’s latest flagship, iPhone X, even though they had space to keep the fingerprint scanner.

OPPO A83 sports a 5.7-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) 18:9 HD+ full-screen 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P23 16nm processor with 800MHz ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU. The device comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with ColorOS 3.2.
The A83 features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a f/2.2 aperture. On the front, you can find an 8MP shooter with a f/2.2 aperture. Other connectivity features are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. The smartphone boasts a 3180mAh battery.
The OPPO A83 will be arriving in Black and Gold colors and will be available for a price tag of Rs. 13,990. It will be on sale in Flipkart and Amazon.in starting from January 20th.
