OnePlus 3 and 3T started getting Android 8.0 Oreo-Based OxygenOS 5.0 OTA Update

OnePlus has been very generous with their OTA updates. At the OnePlus 5T launching time, they have mentioned that OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users have already experienced the Android 8.0 Oreo update by Closed Data programme and now, by the help of Open Beta programs. It is now official that Android Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0 now rolling out for OnePlus 3 and 3T.

Now, the updates rolling at a slower pace but will be sped up in the upcoming days as said by OnePlus. The Oxygen OS 5.0 brings some major features which are the upgrade of Android 8.0 Oreo. The Picture in Picture mode, Auto-fill feature, Smart text selection. The other main updates are the OnePlus 3 and 3T get Parallel Apps and a revamped settings menu.

The security patch is from the November and there are slight tweaks in the launcher which are new Notification dots, new App folder design with also enabled users can upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus. The OnePlus 5T will be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of December.
