Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835 and Dual Cameras announced

HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia, has announced their flagship smartphone. There were many leaks and rumors around this phone and has finally made its way to the market. This is going to be their 4th device from Nokia running Android OS. Nokia 8 is going to give competition to the latest flagships such as Samsung Galaxy S8, OnePlus 5 and LG G6. The previous devices from Nokia were Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, which were mid-range smartphones with budget specifications.

Nokia 6 will be arriving with a 5.3-inches (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 700 nits of brightness. The device is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 256GB with MicroSD card.

The Nokia 8 will be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and Nokia assured that there will be an Android O update soon. Coming to the optics, it has a Dual 13MP (Color+Monochrome) rear facing sensors with ZEISS optics as said and OIS support for stabilization with dual tone LED flash. On the front, you can find a 13MP auto focus sensor with ZEISS optics lens and a F/2.0 aperture.

Below the display, there are two capacitive buttons and a fingerprint sensor beneath the home button. Nokia has also introduced Dual-sight mode, which uses both front and back camera and attaches them to one side by side. The whole design is made up of unibody 6000 series aluminum. Nokia has also provided OZO which allows recording 360-degree audio and playback on Nokia 8.

Nokia 8 will be available in Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, Steel and Polished Copper colors, and is priced at 599 euros or Rs. 44,990 approx. The shipping of Nokia will start from early September globally and is expected to roll out Nokia 8 in the month of October in India. Stay tuned for more updates.
